Samsung Apps and ServicesYou do realize this was an ANDROID update and many of the changes you don't like were mandated and incorporated by Google. Google wants consistency among all Android brand phones. Samsung has kept many of it's customization options in the new UI and added even more in Good Lock and its modules. Good Lock is Samsung's official customization app. Other Android brands do not offer the customization options Samsung does. You can get your phone back to some semblance of the way it was before the update, although there are some things that, at the moment, cannot be changed. https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Samsung-Apps-and-Services/Things-you-can-change-back/td-p/322806.... Why would you not be able to know when important emails come in? The notification icons (whether it be the three allowed or the glut you used to have) do not show from whom the email arrived. They only show that an email came in. You can use app icon badges and the number of new emails will show on your app icon, you can turn on notification categories and set a separate sound for each email account you have. You can pull down the notification shade to check if there's an important email notification. Even if the notifications from an app are stacked, the instant you touch it, it breaks apart into individual notifications. You can have the notifications show the details on your lock screen. Soooo many ways to see if you have an important notification.
Accepting change is part of life - as we used to say in the 70's, go with the flow.

Samsung Apps and ServicesComplaining about corporate policy on a peer-to-peer user help forum doesn't do anything other than allow you to get your thoughts off your chest - it's spitting in the wind. Samsung isn't "listening" here and other users are here to get help and give help. Any issue with Gmail is a Google issue, even if the problem is unique to Samsung phones.
