PRO TIP: Phone Screen Timeout

For all those perturbed by the very short time out on the phone screen when making a call, Good Lock has a new module called Display Assistant.  It has a setting to allow you to set different screen time out periods for different apps (max 10 minutes).  I set the  phone app to stay on for 10 minutes and it appears to work.

Thanks very much for this. I had been using a Routine to do that, but this way sounds more efficient.

After I dial the number, my phone opens a second "Call" window, so make sure to select "Call" as well as "Phone" from the Display Assistant list.

I had just selected call, because that's when the screen usually times out.  I just now added phone for good measure.  I chose call first because it came up in the list first and I didn't scroll down any further because, at the moment, there are no other apps I need to adjust the timeout for.

For some reason, it is not working. I have both phone and calls at a ten-minute timeout. The screen just closes.

As I said, it appears to work for me when I just had call set. Since I set it, I've only made and received one call each, so I don't know the consistency or whether 2 calls is a good test.

You can also try adding the keep screen on shortcut to the quick panel and activate it before making your call. It's supposed to keep your screen on for 30 minutes. I added the button, but haven't tried it yet.

I just realized that the Display assistant has the "beta" icon, which is probably why it works for me and not for you.  It's probably a bit buggy at the moment. So, put in an error report so they can fix it eventually.

How can I get DisplayAssistant? It's not showing in my GoodLock. I'm using Android 13.
