Recovering notes from Samsung notes

Help! I've lost all my notes! I used Samsung notes for a lot of important stuff. However, my Galaxy S23 got ran over, and I can't seem to recover the notes. I bought a Galaxy Tab 4 just so I could access to notes since it wouldn't work on my laptops nor my other cell. But even when I connect it to my email, nothing populates in the app. Is there anything I Could be missing? TIA

By default, Samsung Notes backs up to Samsung Cloud. You should be able to restore your notes.

Samsung Notes changed the notes format a few years ago. The Tab 4 is 11 years old. I'm not sure that it would be able to open the notes stored recently on an S23.

You can convert old notes into new ones as far as I know. It should be automated.
