S pen to text: How to edit

Does anyone have more information on how to do these edit gestures with the S Pen? The infographic becomes all out useless when trying to add in missing letter in a word, or missing punctuation. Also, any suggestions on delay, when I go to cross my "i" or dot my "T", it erases the word I was writing.

I found that you have to learn the "artifical" handwriting twchniques to get it correct. Not it learns you.
