S4 Screen Rotation in DeX

I have used the standard desktop with Nova Prime Launcher.  Really nice combination.

About 8mo ago I decided to try DeX.  Like it a lot except it isn't very customizable.  Too bad there isn't a Nova just to give DeX a bit more customizing.

But the real issue is screen rotation in DeX.  I can't get any app to rotate into portrait orientation.  There is only one I use all the time that I'd like in Protrait .... Samsung Notes.  Like all others it too won't rotate into portrait.

Is it even possible to rotate in DeX?  I tried the auto-rotate button ... no dice.  If it is possible, can someone point me in the right direction to make it happen?

Thanks in advance.

I don't think there is. DEX was definitely designed to be used in Landscape. I do agree with you on customization. I also now mostly use DEX on my tablet, and I wish I could do more with the layout, icons, widgets and so on. I'm guessing third party launchers don't get any access to it or I'm sure they would have been all over it by now:(

Samsung and Android have so many ways the apps can be manipulated, it should be easy to add how an app should open ... Landscape or portrait.  I prefer landscape for DeX and the standard UI.  It is the lapps that I like portrait at times.
