I keep seeing this message for months but I don't understand what it means. I've never backed up to the cloud. Does this mean they'll no longer be in my photo gallery??

I would back up anyway like on a pc it's better to be proactive than to be stuck wondering where your files went because you didn't heed a warning

@userSCQ7Xz6Us5 You may not have realized it but you must have Gallery configured to use Samsung Cloud as a backup. If you didn't you wouldn't see a notice of "7864 pictures and videos". You can check it easily enough by opening Gallery -> Settings and looking for the "Sync with..." setting.

Thank you for the responses. I've always backed up to Google Photos as well as another photo app, so is the Cloud backup necessary?
