Samsung Apps and ServicesHi Team,
We are observing an issue where Samsung Health is not writing Steps data to Google Health Connect, even though write permissions are properly granted.
Important:
This issue is occurring across multiple Android devices, so it does not appear to be device-specific.
Current Setup:
Health Connect installed and functioning
Write permission enabled for:
Health Connect → App permissions → Samsung Health → Steps (Write allowed)
Samsung Health is correctly tracking and displaying steps internally
Steps data exists inside Samsung Health
Issue:
Despite write access being granted, no Steps records from Samsung Health appear inside Health Connect.
Troubleshooting Already Attempted:
Revoked and re-granted Health Connect permissions
Restarted devices
Cleared Samsung Health cache
Verified permissions multiple times
Tested on multiple Android devices
Expected Behavior:
Once write permission is granted, Samsung Health should write Steps data into Health Connect.
Actual Behavior:
Steps remain only inside Samsung Health and are not available in Health Connect for other apps to read.
Is there any additional configuration required to enable Steps sync to Health Connect?
Is this a known limitation or bug?
Any guidance would be appreciated.

What is the device you are using including the model number of the device?
