Samsung Health Oxygen saturation removed?

Why was this removed from the app? I had a lot of data I was keeping for my doctor and it was the most useful thing in the app for me. They remove a function without notifying customers beforehand. Makes me want to switch to Apple.

How do we contact Samsung support about this?

I found a work around. Not sure if allowed here or not. There are reputable places to download old .apk files, for those of us without the latest greatest.Download a version prior to 6.5. Have system app auto update enabled. Uninstall latest version of Samsung Health. Install older version you downloaded. Navigate to the home page for Samsung Health in the app store, hit the 3 dots upper right and select "do not auto update". Or disable all auto updates and manually update all but Samsung Health. The older version still does enough for me and I have the O² tracker back.

I wouldnt want to roll back to an old version, I have a theory why they changed it. I'm thinking it's because the spo2 had the heartrate scale on the workout scale, but the resting scale[of heart beat 40-200 bpm etc] and I would use it on treadmill or working out to take my heartrate, but I doubt samsung likes this for insurance reasons. They dont want you not paying attention and taking your spo2 while running, then run into traffic. Could potentially look bad I guess. Just my theory

I think they simply have idiots in the development department that a.) don't have a clue, b.) were forced to make room in the app for more pathetic advertisement and c.) could not care less about the stupid end users that buy their devices.

I only see BPM, not O2. My Health version is 6.8.5.009.

Are there third party apps that can leverage the sensor?

You cannot start the measurement at any given time and there is no history whatsoever. A most pathetic move from Samsung. Clearly shows how much they care about their customers.

If you have a watch you can't manually measure. I even tried removing the watch and it still didn't work.

Samsung... in a moment of great needs for a worldwide COVID-19 pandemic emergency you should really open up the feature of measuring SpO2 for all the enabled devices everywhere in the world. I am trying to measure the oxygen level of my old parents that show some symptoms, the Emergency dept. and intensive care units are already full. This feature could make a difference in chances of survivability if I am able to bring them being diagnosed in time should the app report unusual oxygen levels.

So please... PLEASE, open up this functionality. Get it back! The world needs your help.

To all of you wanting to gain this feature back, since Canadians don't have the "stress test" and Samsung doesn't give us any help. This is especially critical for covid measurements. Here's what you do.

Go to your Samsung health icon. Uninstall it. Then go here https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.sammobile.com/apk/samsung-health/sa... and download the apk (it's an older version). After it's installed, go to your Samsung apps and turn off "auto update".

Use the app as you did, your SpO2 function is back!
