Hello all,

Health app consumes too much battery in the background. Disabled all notifications and force stopped the app but still it consumes too much battery on the phone although i dont use and open the app.  Somehow it drains battery in the background, probably bugs or bad implementation by Samsung devs. GW4 watch models have battery issues due to software bugs too. Come on samsung you are not a cheap bad company you must have better devs onboard for your wearable apps and watches. They should solve this problem on Samsung Health app asap. At least there must be a settings to disable/turn off health app on the phone so users can disable it to prevent battery drain.

Btw, is there no 3rd party health/wear apps for Samsung wearables that links to Galaxy watches without need of samsung health app? There are far better 3rd party health apps for much cheaper  watches on the market..

Thank you for reaching out.  I can certainly understand how frustrating battery drain on a device can be. Can't figure out why your battery is always draining? Your phone has the answer. You can monitor and extend its battery life or use a Power saving mode to get the most out of it. You'll never be stumped about your phone's battery life again. Ok solution is this (also FYI samsung support team! );

Turn off steps counting and auto detect workout on Samsung health app on the phone. After that, it shouldnt drain much battery in the background on phone. Not sure whether it also affects watch's battery, might be helping for watch's battery a bit too.
