S10E on AT&T. Recently tried to use Samsung Pay and recieved an invalid pin message. Reset the app per the KB article on forgotten PIN. Now when I try to resetup Samsung Pay it is requiring me to set up a device level screen lock. Previously I was able to have the Samsung Pay app behind a PIN of its own. Any idea when/why this changed and if there is a way to get around having a device level screen lock?
Called the provided number. Unfortunetly it was an intentional change to "improve security" with no other options available. requriing me to lock my entire device behind a 4 digit pin or allowing me to lock just the Samsung Pay app with the same 4 digit pin provides identical levels of security as it relates to the Samsung Pay app but adds an unnecessary layer to the use of my device. Well I guess I will stop recommending and/or using Samsung Pay now.
