Samsung Wallet- Cash Rewards Debit Card not working anymore

Hello. I can't use my Samsung rewards card anymore, no where is accepting Samsung pay. Can't even use it online. Can't do the tap and transfer either. My $53 is stuck. Please help thank you.

Every place that accepts electronic payments or Apple pay takes Samsung Pay. Meaning any **bleep** terminal with a tap to pay radio signal.

I've tried 2 times a Walmart igencio model, didn't work and made me look like **bleep** at walmart. The actual beeping card reader said, sorry we can't take your card. Like **bleep**, am I suppose to do. And then went to Kroger did the whole pay and also made sure nfc was on, nothing. Nothing. Just keeps making beeps but no pay. Looked stupid another market. Like **bleep**, if it was that **bleep**ing easy, I wouldn't be here asking for help as to why my Wal-Mart won't accept Samsung pay/ my stupid Samsung rewards debit Master to be exact. Thanks for trying though.

Walmart only takes Walmart Pay. However, nearly every other store takes Apple or Android (Samsung Pay). Have a dollar tree near you? Also can be used at Target, Aldi,, CVS, Walgreens. Surprised it didnt work at Kroger. Are you sure you are using it correctly? Is it only the reward card not being accepted or any payment method in the app?

Yeah, I did as instructed by the card and yes, I only have my Samsung rewards card on my Samsung wallet account. Do you think that's why it won't accept my Samsung rewards card MasterCard debit card? It has money in it though like $53. I tried to buy like $20 of stuff, tried at Walmart two times, it didn't accept it even though it was tap and pay, I even took off my phone case, got close and they keep sending but nothing went through. It did the same thing at Kroger. Except at Walmart it told me straight up it don't take my card. Even though it's a debit card MasterCard I don't even know what I'm doing wrong to tell you the truth. It sucks cause I'm using the self checkout and people would look you know. I have social anxiety so that doesn't help. 😂

As I said, Walmart only takes Walmart Pay and you have to add a card to Walmart Pay. I understand the Samsung reward card can only be used in Samsung Pay, so it can't be added to Walmart Pay. Any other place that doesn't have their own proprietary pay system will accept Samsung Pay, which is why the card has a Master Card logo. When you contacted Samsung did you speak with regular customer service or the dedicated Samsung Pay specialists?

Nope, I haven't tried dollar tree or Walgreens yet. I guess I'll risk it again 2 more times. But I can't believe big Walmart and Kroger couldn't accept it. And I've tried chatting to Samsung about their rewards card but everyone keeps telling to call the card issue which was NetSpend previously. Now it's another company pathway something. This is so dumb. I tried to do their tap and transfer, which just advertised to me, but since my card is a rewards card issued by Samsung when I joined the cash back program they have in like 2019-2020, now I'm like stuck. There is no option to do the transfer on this card to a friend who has Google wallet, the card doesn't even have an option and it tells me to input a new card or scan an actual card. My luck I guess. This is the email I received from them. So yeah, it changed over to this company now. It's called Pathward N.A. my bad, I misspelled the company. Also if I called the number, how would I be able to verify for them to help me?? This card only has four digits and I can't see any other number, sooooo...And the customer service number for this rewarde card is in the picture and it still says NetSpend. Also I'm using a Samsung a51. Do you think it's **bleep** that my phone is older so it won't work right with the card machine? Everything up to date though. You know what, I'll try that Walgreens and dollar tree and see if it works. I just wish they would let me get the card number to use online. I even tried using the redeem gift card section in the Samsung wallet app, it said they won't accept my card either. 😂 Funny, the Blackhawk gift card place in the Samsung wallet app won't let me use the card Samsung gave me. Yeah I ran out of option, maybe I should give them a call again since it switched over to this new company to after if the store trips won't work. Thanks again for helping me! I appreciate it!

What android version is on your phone? As of June 23 of this year, Samsung wallet wiil only work on phones running Android 11 or higher, but if you have Android 10, it will still work for a couple of more weeks. If you have Android 11, Samsung Wallet will continue to work. If you have a credit or debit card besides the reward card, try adding it to the wallet to see if it works with a small purchase. Then you will know if it's the app or the card or possibly user error. I don't use the cashback shopping, so I don't have a reward card I can test.
