Samsung Apps and ServicesA few days ago I started getting notifications that the Samsung Cloud app had stopped. After a couple of these, notification comes up that it keeps stopping and the option to close the app is given. I close it and a few minutes later, the cycle starts all over.
1. I never use the cloud app - I use Google's cloud
2. When I go into Settings, apps, advanced, and check, notifications are turned off for Samsung Cloud
3. When I go into Settings, backups, the Samsung cloud options are greyed out and cannot be accessed to check their status. Google is normal and active.
This is on a Tab A
How do I get rid of this intrusive pest??????

Samsung Apps and ServicesThe final solution was to do a factory reset of the tablet. When doing this, be sure to have a backup so that the apps and data can be restored without having to reinstalled. No problems since.

Samsung Apps and ServicesHave you tried running the device in Safe Mode?
1. Turn off the device
2. Now switch your phone back on. Immediately you see the Samsung logo appear on your screen, press and hold the Volume Down key until the phone boots completely to the home screen.
3. You should now see a watermark caption "Safe Mode" at the bottom left corner of your phone screen. This will now disable all 3rd party apps.

Samsung Apps and ServicesThanks for responding, but there are a couple of reasons this won't work. First - it's a tablet - a Tab A. Second, this would disable ALL 3rd party apps, which would prevent me from basically using the device at all. I'm hoping for a better solution.

Samsung Apps and ServicesI think that Caleb was suggesting you boot yur tablet into Safe mode and see if the problem still persisted, not that you should operate it in that mode.
Have you tried to go to Settings-.Apps and disable or uninstall the Samsung Cloud app?

Samsung Apps and ServicesI'll give the safe mode a try. As for uninstalling or disabling, it won't let me - even in advanced mode. Thanks!

Samsung Apps and ServicesAre you saying that you went to the apps page that allows for Disable and Force Stop and the disable button was greyed out? Or that it was not listed?
Sorry for the questions, I've never seen a Tab A but on my Tab S4 I am able to disable it.

Samsung Apps and ServicesYes, the disable is greyed out and the force stop doesn't do anything. The notification that the app has stopped just keeps popping up. I did try the safe mode as suggested and it didn't do anything once I went back to normal. The app seems to restart itself, as every time it comes up with a 'stop app', I tap it, only to be greeted with another notification of the app stopping a few minutes later. As this only started a few days ago, I am wondering if something was updated and messed up the app?

Samsung Apps and ServicesSince nothing seems to work, it looks like I'll have to reset the tablet and reinstall my apps. Hopefully that will take care of this intrusive notification. Of course, the app's failure also keeps me from accessing MS OneDrive, which is a large problem. As of this point, I'm keeping the problem as unresolved.

Samsung Apps and ServicesI am having this problem and I live in Canada. I searched this problem and saw many posts in the Samsung EU community. I see that this problem also is occurring in the US as well. I contacted Samsung Support Canada only to be told they are not aware of the problem and have no complaints???? They also said it may be happening in other countries not in Canada. I live in Canada, bought my tablet in Canada and I am living this problem. Furthermore, as this affects Samsung devices, tablets and phones, you would expect them to a least show an interest in this problem that is not an isolated problem.
