HBO max app on Samsung TV cannot be downloaded. Throws error 118 even after trying all troubleshooting methods possible including factory reset and smart hub reset. Samsung has been notified and will work with HBO on the issue.
Called HBO as well to find out and there is a known issue since Thanksgiving where the HBO Max app cannot be launched. This is a different issue but it could all be related. HBO Max Samsung TV smart app was recently updated 11/24/22. This update may have brought on this issue.
Have to wait and so frustrating! If you got special unheard of tips, please share!
Still no update on the issue. Samsung said to contact HBO which I did but HBO said the issue with launching the app fix is being coordinated with Samsung. That was 2 days ago when the post was opened. Today. HBO said issue with with Samsung and they are working on a fix. This was suppose to be shown on annoucements section yet still, I see no info about it. Samsung help!
12/06/22 HBO agent: As I see, Samsung having an issue in that our specialized which they are working on it. As soon it will be resolved we will let you know via email. Till that time please try to sign in on an different device and try streaming.
