Secure folder: applications within cannot access files (with One UI 8.0)

After a recent upgrade to One UI 8.0, programs within Secure Folder cannot access files also within Secure Folder.

In particular, the Secure Folder versions of Snapseed (photo editing), Protonmail, and Discord cannot find secured files.  Google photos, and Samsung Gallery seem unaffected.

Any help?

Having the same issues. Replying to this thread in the hopes that Samsung actually fixes this (or someone finds a workaround)

Workaround: Search and download "documents ui (14)".

OK. So seems that this issues also happening on Motorola. In my opinion Samsung bungled their modified private spaces implementation ( secure folder changed so much in ui 8 because it migrated everything from the modified work Profile setup to private spaces). Anyway a user there said their fix was downgrading to factory version of files. I see the downgrade available but I'm kinda scared to click it and end up with something major broken. Also have no idea how I would change back to 16. Anyone brave enough to try. If I get frustrated enough, I might and report back. If it does Samsung need to be a bit ashamed of themselves as they seem to be just ignoring the issue. Motorola was actually chatting with redditors trying to get bug reports.

Didnt work. Stayed at version 16. Ah well. This sucks.

Samsung fix your software. Also imop. Give a option to remove your ai agents and play services out of private space/secure folded. Those are very privacy invasive and security compromising services running with no control of the user. Since Knox controls the user account in these "private spaces".

Well. Let me put this disclaimer here.

Just ruined my own day. I flew too close to the sun. I ended up on the Samsung secure folder Dev tools. Trying to see if I could somehow redirect the documentsui app to another app or reset it or something. On exit I accidently pressed "reflection test" and that "test" doesn't not reflect its actual function wiped my entire secure folder. Everything inside gone. Forever. 😢.

To Samsung resetting still does not fix the issue. Documentsui is still broken even after the reset.

Hope you had a Smart Switch backup of the secure folder to restore from. ☹️

Naw all I have is my old phone so data since I got this phone and smart switched over to it is gone. Everything since I got this phone in that folder is gone. Im glad that phone somehow still was in my private accounts 2 factor auth because google was definitely not trying to let me back into that account. So for real for future caution to someone out there who might find this message one day. DO NOT PRESS "Reflection test". there's another test in there called the koin test or something. I'm done though not even going to consider touching that button. We all gotta wait until samsung fixes this.

That as well as circle to search doesn't work. I upgraded to Samsung for the secure folder feature and it's ruined. Can't access files in secure folder from apps installed in secure folder.
