After a recent upgrade to One UI 8.0, programs within Secure Folder cannot access files also within Secure Folder.

In particular, the Secure Folder versions of Snapseed (photo editing), Protonmail, and Discord cannot find secured files.  Google photos, and Samsung Gallery seem unaffected.

Any help?

You re seriously telling us a problem that numerous people are reporting is NOT in fact happening? You want to go down this route? On the record?

This is not a valid response. There are dozens of threads with the same issue being presented. Please explain how or why this is the way it is supposed to work now. An app within the secure folder should be able to access files within the secure folder. It is applications outside the secure folder that should not be able to access the files within it.

Things are absolutely not working "as they should." All apps within Secure Folder SHOULD be able to access all files within Secure Folder. And also bring back lock when exiting a Secure Folder app! The "Secure" Folder is rather UNSECURE now! Revert these changes!

Wrong. I have the same issue as others here, so it's not an isolated case. You've completely broken the security of the secure folder. It's not a Fort Knox, it's a tent on the side of the road.

Hi, can you add more clarity to your response please? The issue very much exists and is very easy to replicate. Does this mean that the issue people are reporting isn't a bug and was an intentional change, meaning secure folder apps will not have access to secure folder files going forward?

Absolutely not the case. Secure Folder apps cannot access files inside of the secure folder. Numerous people are experiencing this. This **bleep** forum has enough replies, that should be clear.

You clearly don't understand the issue being raised.

This is a bug and has been reported on numerous platforms.

Apps inside the secure folder can no longer use media also in the secure folder. That cannot, by definition, be things working as they should.

Other apps are not working after Samsung changed something.  You can tell me it's fixed but I'm here to tell you that it is clearly not.

@Samsung_Moderator : Based on all the responses to your reply, I hope your team will revisit your research. If apps inside the Secure folder requires their data to be outside the secure folder, doesn't that beat the purpose of having a secure folder in the first place?

This is definitely a bug with the System File Picker, which I hope Samsung will address soon to make our phones secure again.
