Smartthings hub not controlling TV all the time (TV offline)?

Recently I keep getting messages that my smartthings hub (not a physical hub) is connected or disconnected. I notice that I seem to be able to control most things in the house when connected or disconnected except for the Samsung smart tv. Sometimes I can control the TV when I am away from home and sometimes it shows as offline. I assume this is when the hub shows disconnected. How do I keep the tv online in smartthings?
