The many reasons we don't want Google Messages!

Discontinuing Samsung messenger is the wrong move. Themes and fonts that people paid for are not accessible through Google messages. But on top of that despite android being google owned a lot of people do not want google ingrained in everything we do. I deleted my personal google account a few years ago and use a dupe which you shouldn't need to do to use certain features, the only google apps I use are the play store and maps. I much prefer Samsung messages and if I wanted google everything I would've bought a pixel. I know there are other app choices but why is a third party needed for a basic cellphone function

I agree. I do not like Google Messages at all and I will not be switching to it. I would much rather continue using Samsung Messages. If or when they discontinue Samsung Messages, I will switch to something other than Google.

I'm not sure who decided to save a few bucks by killing Samsung messages but I can tell you this. Horrible decision. I use my phone for two primary reasons, text and call. Texting from my Samsung phone is no longer a viable option. I feel like i'm on myspace, not a 3000 dollar Samsung phone.

Samsung, hear us out, AT LEAST allow us to have a choice! 

I really do not want to switch to Google messages. I tried it before and I abhor that UI. There's no customization comparable to Samsung messages. I've been a Samsung user for the last 6 years, now, and if I'm forced to give up on the brand, I will.

Stripping your ecosystem and replacing it with Google's is not the solution. I really don't care if the app is updated or not, but I do not want to be forced out of it. If I need to go back to iPhone after 6 years of having Galaxy S & Z Fold models, I will. 

Not only is this about comfort, but I use the auto translation function in a chat with a very close friend, and I'm heavily reliant on it. It works too well for me to switch to anything else.

Please fix this Samsung. I'm NOT giving up on Samsung Messages.🙏

I agree, if you start taking away all the things that we like about Samsung, like customization, which is huge! I might as well switch to a boring IPhone! Don't take away Samsung messaging please!

I understand your frustration. It can be difficult to switch to a new app from your preferred one, especially when you hadn't planned on doing so and you feel you are being forced to transition.

Unfortunately, this forum is not directly monitored by anyone in charge of decision-making at Samsung. You can only reach peer users by posting here.

To reach someone at Samsung and make your voice heard, you will need to use the Members app on a Galaxy device, visit the support tab, and navigate to "send feedback."

In the meantime, please help keep our community clean and easy to navigate by following forum etiquette. If a post on your topic already exists, it is very helpful to comment on that thread rather than creating a new separate post.

What!?! Samsung told me specifically to come here and voice my opinion because developers were active here.
