Unable to Change Date/Time of WEBM Videos in Samsung Gallery

I’ve been using WEBM more often because it’s a lot more space-efficient than MP4 which helps with saving storage. However, Samsung Gallery won’t let me edit the date and time of a WEBM file, instead saying "Can't change the date, time, or location of a file with that format." This works perfectly fine for MP4 videos so I’m confused why it doesn't for WEBM videos.

I just tested a .webm video in Samsung Gallery and I was able to change the date and time with no errors. So, unfortunately, I am not sure why you cannot.

Have you tested it with multiple videos?

Tried it on multiple other videos. Keep getting the same message. Anything I could try?

Certain .webm video files can prevent changing the date and time in Samsung Gallery because they may lack proper EXIF or metadata tags, or they may be read-only files. When metadata is missing, Samsung Gallery cannot edit the timestamp.
