Unable to sign in with Samsung's registered account on Samsung health app using on Sony Xperia SP

Successfully installed a previous version of Samsung health app on older Sony Xperia SP device with a custom firmware. All app features  working fine. Unable to sign in with my existing Samsung account in order to be able to sync up the device. The error that appears on the form is

403 Sorry, the resource you want to access is forbidden, so this request has been refused. If you have any questions, please contact the administrator.

Let's see, according to your post, you are using a previous version of the app on an old phone. What could go wrong with that? I'm sure there is something either in the app or in the phone that is causing an error and you are unable to sign in.
