Samsung Apps and ServicesThere may be some confusion in locating it, as it has the same name as Samsung Messages, but a different icon. Both apps simply say "messages", not Samsung Messages or Google Messages. Google Messages icon is a blue bubble on a white background with a rightward pointing tail. If you don't have your settings to show new apps on your home screen once downloaded, look in your app drawer for messages. If you don't see it, search for it. It may be hidden for some reason.

Samsung Apps and ServicesThere's absolutely nothing wrong with it, all these people cluttering up the forums with their outrage just are resistant to change - they want what they want the way they want it. They are putting esthetics over function. I think actually getting and sending your messages is much more important than making your app pretty. They decided a long time ago that they hate Google and nothing is changing their mind on it. So, they are going to stomp their feet, hold their breath and sign petitions until they either suffocate or get their way.
