Why is Samsung getting behind on everything? New OS releases have delayed in the last few years. Now Unpacked events are being delayed. And the Satellite capabilities have been delayed for the last couple years. They need to form work groups and set standards for Satellite now and standards that will be also be backwards compatible and do this without anymore delays!
Samsung's One UI is a HEAVILY modified Android skin, which dramatically extends compatibility testing. They also have a massive product lineup, which spreads development teams thin across multiple product lines with staggered release schedules. There are a variety of contributing factors.
Strict adherence to release timelines can result in incomplete products being released. It is wise to delay products rather than release them if they aren't ready yet.
I was unaware that unpacked events had a specific date schedule yearly. So how can they be delayed? As for OS updates, they also do not have specific release dates set in stone. As long as your phone is updated by the end of a year (if you are supposed to get yearly updates), an update cannot possibly be considered delayed.
