There should be a way to set the speaker mode on tags to silent or off. Alot of pet's freak out when they accident press the button and it beeps back at them. I'm sure there are other reasons to be able to put them in silent mode as well. If you are looking to find the tag, you can always turn the sound on if you are within audible range.

I don't think this would be added because it kind of defeats the purpose of the SmartTag. Over time, I'm sure your pet will become more acclimated to the sound during accidental presses.
I get that it's not in the innate reason why smart tags are used and I hope my dog gets used to it. At the same time, it's a confirmation sound when you push the button. Just allow me to disable the confirmation sound when the button is pushed and keep the sound for normal find function.
I agree that being able to disable that specific aspect could prove useful under certain circumstances. There's always the chance that I'm wrong and this will be added via a software update.
