Smart Home SupportHW-Q70R soundbar drops WiFi connection and only recovery is to unplug and plug back in. Checked FW updates through SmartThings app and it is up to date.
details:
using Alexa Echo to play Music through soundbar, I loaded the Samsung Wireless Audio skill via Alexa app.
Ask alexa to stream music through soundbar and it all works for a couple hours then just stops.
Trying to play music again results in Alexa unable to connect to soundbar. Also at this point, the TV is unable to connect to the soundbar. This is a stand-alone WiFi network separate from isp wireless network. TV, soundbar, Alexa echo dot and modem are all within 30’ of each other. No other issues with other devices on this network.
Bluetooth connectivity is intermittent as well so that’s why I switched to WiFi and as I said it works for a couple hours then just stops and the only way I can reconnect it is to unplug and re plug it in. In this state the soundbar shows offline in smartthing app.

Smart Home SupportIf the firmware on the sound bar is up to date, the next step would be to check your Wi-Fi channels on the home router. Try using a channel with minimal interference.

Smart Home SupportI am also having frequent wifi disconnections and the only fix is to unplug and plug the sound bar back in. This is not acceptable on a device in this price range. Our Eero mesh router does not allow wifi channel selection, so this remedy described below is not possible. Any other solutions? Can this be addressed formally in a firmware update as it seems to be a common problem?

Smart Home SupportI also have the Q70R and am having the exact same issue. I have changed the channel on my wifi so that it is not on a busy channel and it still has the issue. Has anyone seen any actual solutions? I completely agree that unplugging and plugging it back in is not an acceptable solution as the power port will wear out at some point.
