I’ve had the Powerbot R7040 for about three weeks and it had been working great.  The past few days, however, I’ve been finding it in random spots around the house, totally out of juice.  Most frequently, it’s been in the back bedroom, not caught on anything, not wedged in any tough spot.  The mark on the carpet don’t show any random patterns showing confusion, but also no attempt to make a move back toward the base.  Any thoughts? Solutions?   Thanks!

No solution. I'm thinking about reporting Samsung to the Better Business Bureau because something you pay $600 for should last more than a year. With all of us having the same issue it seems that there should be a recall, and not just vague answers as replies.

Add me to the list of R7040 owners with this issue.   Has anyone contacted Samsung and gone through the repair process.  My unit is over two years old and I bought it refurbished so I have no warranty.  Wondering what the cost was and what the repair was.  I put in a new brush motor 6 months ago so I am pretty confident I can make just about any repair.    Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks

BTW,  it seems like there should be a SW fix for this, some kind of Machine Learning to determine how many minutes it goes before it dies.  I assume the battery dies on a curve and not a cliff...  Just my thought

Add me to the list as well. Brush rotates freely, no weird noises, cleaned the contacts, and I literally just watched it stop mid cleaning. No beeps or anything.

I'm having the same problems; It goes through cycle nicely but dies out somewhere randomly and doesn't return to base. The history on the app says auto cleaning/normal. I rarely had this problem for the 18 months i've had the unit but started since I had Samsung repair/recondition my unit.

There are a lot of us with this problem. I wish Samsung would provide a solution that doesn't involve shipping it off for repairs that they can't tell you how much they will cost. I'm thinking the Better Business Bureau should be notified.

Anyone able to solve this? Been also haveing the same problem. My unit was working well for a year then all of a sudden, for the past 2 months, it never completes a cycle. I always find it in dead in random spots, not stuck or anything. I put it back to the base, switch the plug off then on but it still gets stuck every time.

It's really frustrating!

Is there not a solution? I've had this vacuum for 9 days and it is just dying in the middle of the floor, not going back to the base after Auto Cleaning. It's went back maybe twice and I only ever got a map once. I'm thinking about just returning it since I can never tell it actually completed cleaning and also doesn't actually map like it says.
