Smart Home SupportI’ve had the Powerbot R7040 for about three weeks and it had been working great. The past few days, however, I’ve been finding it in random spots around the house, totally out of juice. Most frequently, it’s been in the back bedroom, not caught on anything, not wedged in any tough spot. The mark on the carpet don’t show any random patterns showing confusion, but also no attempt to make a move back toward the base. Any thoughts? Solutions? Thanks!

Smart Home SupportHaving same issue. Is there a solution to this. I've had mine for almost 2 years. And started doing this about 5 months ago. I've reached out to you before but to no avail. Emails back and forth but no solution. I was forwarded to another department have not heard from anyone since.

Smart Home SupportIs anyone able to solve this? Been also having the same problem. My unit was working well for a year or so and then all of a sudden, for the past 3 months, it never completes a cycle. I always find it in dead in random spots, not stuck or anything. I put it back to the base, press the play button in the vacuum, and start charging.
Any contact info that could help?

Smart Home SupportI am having the same problem and samsung tech. support is completely useless. I have owned the unit for a little over two years with no problems and now it started to happen a month or so ago. Was there a SW update that totally messed something up???? Considering the amount of people with the same issue, I would assume so.
The only other thing that I believe could be causing the problem is battery degradation. The Vac might not know the accurate state of charge of the battery, therefore not completing the cycle and abruptly shutting off. Samsung notoriously has battery issues accross several products. Before I go ahead and invest in another battery I would like a better explanation if this is even a possibility.
@samsung978531- you charge people all this money for a Vac and provide little to no support except for recommending to move the charging base or resetting the vacuum. You owe your customer's more than that.
If nothing is resolved within the next couple of months I will file a complaint to the BBB.

Smart Home SupportThrow my POWERbot R7040 in the junk pile, too, because I'm having the same issue after only 18 months of ownership. Using the power switch to "reset" the unit caused it to return on the very next run, but subsequent runs would see it die mid-cleaning with no attempts to return to the base or even shut down the cleaning mechanism as it normally does when it returns for a charge. It just plain dies.
I bought a Samsung because I thought I'd be getting a quality product, but this has been anything but quality. The vacuum's performance is mediocre compared to my daughter's much cheaper Eufy 11S and the Eufy, while older, still works. My POWERbot is just a trip hazard now.
