Powerbot trouble finding the base

I have a powerbot SR1AM7040W and it is not able to find the base. More often it is lost and goes out of charge and stops due to low charge. Given that it has mapping it should be able to trace back its route to the base. I find it not smart enough. I also do not see a way to update its software on smartthings app, in case it is missing a software update.

My Starwars Darth Vader 7040 powerbot was fine. I got a new 7040 and it has a lot of trouble finding the same base.
