I have a faulty SmartTag from the preorder of S21. SmartTag will find the device, attempt to pair, and fails every time without any success. I have tried different batteries of the same size and tried pairing it to another smartphone without success. When I keep persisting to pair it, it will short out and start chiming on its own or it will keep chiming until the battery is removed. I believe there is a short inside and a fire hazard is present if you keep the battery inside with a faulty device. Samsung gives me typical run-a-round and get no help.
