SmartThings Tracker Connected and Registered but CANNOT be Activated

Hi,

From Amazon's Samsung Store, I bought one SmartThings Tracker in July 2021.  I am not looking for a refund but want to simply Activate the device so I can start using it. The device went through the process listed here: Set up and use your Samsung SmartThings Tracker and on the last registration screen it says, "To register your Tracker, you need to activate it with your service provider.  Tap the button below to get started."  If I click Activate, once it errored saying some WiFi issue.  So I switched the WiFi from 5g to 2.4g and kept trying but the device doesn't want to proceed after clicking Activate.  It doesn't give me any WiFi error anymore.  How do I proceed?  Please help!

I would go ahead and start the return process for your SmartThings Tracker. They announced yesterday they are ending support for it on October 31st.
