Hi. I recently purchased a Q90R soundbar. The subwoofer will not connect to the soundbar. When first connected to power the red light blinks for a second then the light blinks blue. It's been continuous blinking blue ever since. I've tried to connect it manually with ID Set without success. The soundbar and speakers are all up to date on firmware according to the SmartThings App. Any suggestions ?

Can you try the following after the ID set button:

  1. Continue holding until STANDBY turns odd and LINK( Blue LED) blinks quickly.
  2. While the soundbar is turned off, press and hold MUTE on the remote control.
  3. Continue holding until ID SET appears on the soundbar's display.
  4. After that the unit should be connected.

Ok so I unplugged the subwoofer and the soundbar for 30 seconds. Plugged in both the soundbar and the subwoofer power cables to a power source. The Red STANDBY light on the Subwoofer came on for about 1 second. Then the Blue LINK light starts blinking rapidly. I held the ID SET button for about 1 minute. Nothing changed. I then held the MUTE button on the remote. The Soundbar powered off, IDSET came up on the display and then the soundbar powered up. The Subwoofer did not connect. I tired the same procedure with the Soundbar powered Off. Powered up the subwoofer, held the IDSET button, pressed the Mute on the remote, IDSET showed up on the soundbar, the Soundbar powered up but nothing with the Subwoofer.  Same results, the Blue LINK light is still blinking rapidly.

Can you try it with the subwoofer closer to the soundbar? If you just brought it, I recommend you to exchange it.

I have the soundbar and the subwoofer plugged into the outlet receptacle. The system was purchased on June 18 from BesyBuy. How do I go about returning it to Samsung for an exchange ?

If the retailer cannot exchange it, it would require repair.

Ok I tried the link but it's not working. I get a reply back that this service is not available in my area. Can you share a repair center that I can visit near 33418 ?

I did take a look but couldn't locate one. I recommend reaching out to 1-800-Samsung.
