The keyword here is "and".
I use LAN via cable for bandwidth but that prevents me from seeing my TV as a device in SmartThings.

A bit ironic that out of my 30 devices (lights, washing machine, stereo etc.) my Samsung TV is the only device I don't see in SmartThings.

I guess I already have the answer but maybe there is someone (waaay smarter than me.) who has a solution... other than drop the bandwidth or forget the TV in SmartThings, that is...

Try changing the name of the TV on the Wi-Fi settings of the TV and see if it appears that way
