You should be able to power it off by doing the following:

  • 1. First, press and hold the volume and power button together for 15 seconds until a menu appears on the screen.
  • 2. Then, you can use the volume button to scroll up and down through the menu. Scroll to the option of "Power down."
  • 3. You can use the Bixby button to choose and confirm the power down option to switch it off. That's how easy it is to turn off/power off your Samsung tablet S7 without a password.

This will be how to reset the tablet.

  1. Ensure the device is powered off.
  2. Press and hold the Volume Up and Power buttons.
  3. Continue to hold Volume Up and Power buttons until the Android Recovery screen appears (about 10-15 seconds) then release both buttons.
Note A blue screen with 'Installing system update' may display, followed by a screen with 'No command'; continue to wait until the recovery screen appears.
  4. From the Android Recovery screen, select Wipe data/factory reset.
Note Use the Volume buttons to cycle through available options and the Power button to select.
  5. Select Yes.
Note Allow several seconds for the factory data reset to complete.
  6. Select Reboot system now.
Note Allow several minutes for the reboot process to complete.
