Re: Powerbot Noise/rattle

JUMP TO SOLUTION

I have the same issue with a R7070 and share your assessment. The "bearing" (it's not really a bearing but some soft material that the friction form the metal shaft wears down) on the motor driving the brush is worn giving the shaft too much play which makes the cog belt skip - that's what's making the noise. Mine was just out of warranty when it failed 1 year daily use.  Can you share where you found a replacement motor? I can only find the whole assembly (DJ97-02486B  Assy Case Drum) as a new spare part for about 100$...

JUMP TO SOLUTION

My Darth Vader edition PowerBot  VR1AM7040W9 has started to make loud noise. This is exactly 1 year after I bought it from amazon.com. If I take the brush off, it is quiet. I clean it (canister, filter) on daily basis.
