I can't count how many times I've mentioned this to Samsung and they will say they're working on it in these betas. I've seen some improvement on the surface level but as soon as you use any samsung phone for more than 40 minutes and it heats up a bit, it shows its true laggy nature. I also notice that when using android auto, the phone is very slow to respond compared to my pixel 7 pro and iPhone 14 pro. It's just sad to see that after all this time, all Samsung has really done is hide their flaws rather than solve the root problem.

I also strongly question whether this is the most important thing to average consumers. I doubt it. I've never heard my non-techy friends complain about animations lol. But yeah, it's a common complaint from the phone enthusiastic community.
I work in construction in the day and as a driver at night and during this time, I need to use my phone for many tasks. If it's hot outside or even if I'm in my car and the ac is in 58°F, the phone stutters and lags if I have android auto running and try to answer a simple text message. It's not just a techy thing though I get what you're saying. I think the animations should be smooth but above all else, I want one ui to be stable and not laggy. I don't have these problems when I use my pixel or even my iPhone se. An iPhone se running carplay and messages, and a thousand other things is able to maintain a lag free experience while my 1k s23 plus can't handle 4 apps or even just android auto alone. It's bad and needs to be addressed.
Yep this is very true. Just to give one example, in beta 1 many users here requested to make the music widget expanded. Meanwhile, Samsung devs did the opposite in beta 2 making it worst.
