Battery Icon Suggestion

The current battery icon in One UI 7 adopts a pill-shaped design consistent with the overall theme. While this approach aligns well with the rounded aesthetic, it may lose its immediate visual connection to a "battery," particularly when the battery percentage is disabled.

To enhance its recognizability as a battery, I suggest adding a subtle "tail" or protrusion to the icon. This minor adjustment would preserve the sleek and rounded appearance while reinforcing its functionality as a battery indicator. The idea is to create a horizontally rotated, rounded version of the classic battery shape, which could better balance form and function.

Wish they had just used their old icon turned on its side. This one looks a bit... questionable

I think they should just do away with the goofy pill shape and just put a percentage on the screen. I much prefer the battery type icon it had before.
