Bluetooth icon hidden

Bluetooth icon for connected devices doesn't display unless you pull down notification panel. Several times I thought I wasn't connected, when in reality I was

i like the clean look without 15 different icons in the notification bar

I like clean looks too, but I would like to know if I'm connected without pulling down the notification bar. That's kinda essential. WIFI is there, so why not Bluetooth?
