I usually keep these accesses disabled on my phone at all times, and I would like to make two suggestions that I think would help improve user experience.

First, I find it a little annoying that a warning pop-up message appears every time I turn off the access. I would like to have "Do not show this message again" option. 
Plus, it's kinda funny that there is no pop-up warning when I enable the access, stating something like all apps with permission could use the camera/microphone.

Second, whenever I use apps that require camera and/or microphone access, this pop-up message appears. I would like to see another option for "Turn on and turn off automatically when leaving/closing the app". 
Currently, the access remains on after I leave or close the app, and I have to manually turn it off in quick panel. Then, the warning message (first picture) shows up again.

I don't understand the worry about the camera or microphone being used . Why turn it off? They added a noticable light when either is used. That should take away the worry (a worry that I never understood anyway)

I guess it's just the feeling of being in control. How do you actually know if your phone is not listening to you when you don't see green dot?

For example, even though I don't see green dot indicating microphone is being used (microphone access is enable), when I said "Hi Google", Google assistant was activated right away and then the green dot appeared. That could mean microphone was in a standby even though no green dot is shown.

Yes, I have no way to know that turning off the camera and microphone access is actually blocking the access, but it gives me some good feeling of turning it off.

I get that some are uncomfortable with the possibilty , but I guess there's almost nothing we can do about it if we decide to own a cell phone. I just learn to live with the fact Google wants to know my deepest darkest secrets. 🤷
