Thank you for sharing your experience with Samsung DeX and video playback on Samsung Browser after the recent update. We understand that being unable to start playback directly from the TV interface disrupts the seamless experience you've been using for years.
Since you found a temporary workaround by using the notification play button on your phone, this behavior may be related to changes in how DeX handles media controls in One UI 7 Beta. To help the development team investigate, we recommend:
1) Testing with a different browser (e.g., Chrome or Edge) in DeX mode to see if the issue is browser-specific.
2) Checking if media controls work in other streaming apps while using DeX.
3) Submitting a Bug Report via Samsung Members > Beta Feedback > Error Reports, including system logs right after attempting playback.
