Currently most complications have a grey background, which not only adds to wasted battery life but arguably more concerning it makes screen burn in worse in those areas. Unfortunately this can also be seen on the AOD screen which is counterintuitive to the premise of the AOD using only the minimum amount of pixels needed, and some watch faces don't even go B&W during AOD.
It would make sense for both longevity of the screen and improving the battery life and I'm surprised Samsung isn't already doing this
