Extended Use of Blur

Absolutely loving the new blur effects, but they seem wierdly underused. 

For example here in Gallery, in the overview the page selector has really neat blur, while when clicking on a picture it becomes an unpleasant dark transparency.

This would be a great addition to the One UI 8.5 Update and I would love to see it!
