gestures have a dark tint in multitasking and when entering apps, it makes the animations look uglier and if it was just the blur and not the tint the gestures would look cleaner. For animations, the reason why iOS and Pixel animations are much smoother is because the open animation speed into apps isn't linear, and instead opens from slow-fast-slow. If animation speed weren't so linear it wouldn't feel so stiff
