Just like we can change app sizes on home screen, it would would be cool if we could do the same for the clock and battery, as well as being able to choose to take it further away from the egde of the screen.

I hate to be one to bring iOS comparisons into the equation, as it seems to aggravate the disgruntled haters and complainers who think One Ui is trying too hard to look like them, But, look at this iPhone screen shot in full screen, compare it to the status bar we have now, and tell me the positions and proportions don't make more sense and look better. It isn't like we have a big notch or island on the screen to abide to.

White Circle to visualize camera cutout
In my opinion, the little pinhole camera cutout shouldn't be a constraint dictating what sits where, given that there is so much unused screen space around that area in places like home screen and nearly all native and default apps including here on members, settings, clock, notes, voice recorder, routines, etc.

Another Big Blank Section
Hopefully this doesn't trigger the android purists that want everything to look like their 2011 S series. I just want see more customizing options going forward.

p.s. bring back the wider battery pill, this new one looks a bit stumpy. The new height is an improvement but the width only looks good with the power saving leaf proportions.

Yes. I'm no dev, so I don't know what it would take to do this, but it seems to me that all apps should be forced to display edge to edge, and the status bar/navbar should display transparently over the UI elements.

Android phones have had rounded corners and punch hole cameras since around 2018. 7 years later, virtually every android phone has those things. The fact that apps haven't been updated to accommodate the displays they run on shows that devs aren't going to support edge to edge until/unless they are forced to by manufacturers.

I dislike the severe lack of fully transparent status bars on apps that don't need them separated like Spotify since everything at the top of the screen is a solid color, which is why I hide the cutout.

I see why it might make it hard to see on text-based apps, but that can easily be resolved by making status bar icons actual image-like icons instead of looking like something I can type on the keyboard, same size and everything.
