Suggestions1) Allow all clock fonts on the lock screen to have a thin/thick slider, including third-party fonts.
2) When a vertical clock style is applied, it should become horizontal everytime nowbar is fully expanded (including third-party font styles).
3) Implement notification blur effect on the lock screen, home screen, and everywhere else it appears.
4) The blur effect is too strong; for example, the colors underneath the window are barely noticeable. Sometimes it even seems like a solid color, not a blur effect. Improve and make the blur more consistent, at least across Samsung apps.
5) Add an app lock feature.
6) Redesign the keyboard; it has remained largely unchanged for years.
7) Improve the lock and unlock animation's bounciness.
8/ Implement new and unique fingerprint unlock animation ripple effects. The ripple should vary in size and thickness depending on fingerprint placement.
9) Improve the live notification pill in the notification bar; it is too small. Make bit bolder.
10) Allow users to fully customize the notification panel. Users should be able to resize tiles or move toggles outside of bar.
11) Samsung should slow down opening/closeing animations transition speed (everywhere) all cross UI/UX to 1.2 transitions speed. In developer options it's available 1., 1.5, 2. Nothing in between 1.1, 1.2 1.3....1.20, 1.21, 1.23. I'm using SamHelper for that.
12) When the phone is in hand, incoming call or notification sounds should automatically lower after facial recognition confirms the phone's owner. Louder speakers make this necessary.
13) Samsung's lock screen customization lags behind competitors like OnePlus and Oppo. Glass effects on wallpapers would be a welcome addition.
14) Improve the color palette selection based on wallpaper colors. Current color choices are not aesthetically pleasing.
15) Add a swipe-up-and-hold gesture to choose between floating window and split-screen modes.
16) Improve the UI by adding shadows, depth, blur, and lighting, especially in dark mode, which currently appears flat. Consistency across Samsung apps is crucial.
17) Add blur to folders when small.
18) When charging, display battery information into nowbar and keep it there, Clear from the lock screen. Also, allow other information, such as contact info, to be displayed into nowbar.
19) Consider adding blur effect on all lock screen elements (clock font, fingerprint other toast notifications etc.) to improve readability when using certain wallpapers.
20) Allow emoji colors to change all others emojie to match the selected color scheme.
21) Offer a good, reliable, industry-standard new Samsung VPN service similar to Google One VPN. Samsung could make it part of a subscription with other AI features like a grammar checker, etc., since these features are only available for free until the end of 2025.
22) Improve the lock icon under the front camera on lock screen and the face-scanning animation.
23) Nowbar for third-party apps.
24) Improve Bixby, with perplexity A.I models or Deepseek model.
25) Bring back the Exynos processor so the suggestions/features mentioned can be applied, and Samsung will have more control over the UI/UX.
26) Please redesign the calling screen.
27) Make calling a live activity, shown in a pill-shaped tappable area. Tap on pill show small calling UI and second tap on live activity expands it to a full calling screen.
28) Bring the Galaxy Watch's default fonts to Galaxy phones as well. The Watch has two or three more default fonts than Galaxy phones.
29) In Photo Assist (Generative Edit), a text box should be included for more accurate AI-generative results.
30) A lock option for the Trash folder.
31) Bring back real-world, 3D-looking UI/UX elements like those in the TouchWiz era (Galaxy S, S2, S3, S4).
32) When music is playing, a progress bar should appear around(as Circle) the album cover in the NowBar.
33) When music is playing, the album cover should rotate in the Now Playing bar, and the live notification (pill-form) app icon should also rotate. This visualization would differentiate between playing and paused music. The same applies to other live pill activities; for example, the calling pill could glow, or there could be a visual indicator when someone is speaking.
34) Once again, regarding the next major One UI update (8 or 9), it needs to include 3D elements, shadowing, texturing, and lighting effects. Currently, One UI 7 is too flat and plain.
35) A new throbber (loading icon). Four dots have been there for a long time, and it doesn't fit into UI/UX compared to One UI 7.
36)Ugh, the lock screen buttons keep activating when I pull my phone out of my pocket, or when I clear the screen, or even when I'm swiping to unlock! So frustrating. Make it so you have to actually *tap* or long-press the buttons to work.
37) I would appreciate it if Samsung would reinstate the boot screen animation from prior years and implement it consistently across all their devices.
38) It would be beneficial to include a slider to adjust the thickness/Narrow/Widening of the lock screen clock font, applicable to all fonts, including those from third-party developers. Currently, enabling bold font affects the clock font negatively, sometimes causing overlapping outlines and illegibility, especially with non-default fonts. Only the default Samsung font offers this thickness adjustment.
39)The blur effect implementation across Samsung applications lacks consistency. Please enhance UI element uniformity.
40) Enable automatic icon arrangement when only the Home screen style is applied. Alternatively, provide options to arrange icons alphabetically, by color, or via custom ordering.
41) It would be helpful if the system could automatically create folders and organize apps based on category when using a home screen-only setup. For instance, social media apps could be grouped into a folder called "Messaging," and banking apps into a folder named "Finance" or "Financial Services." This seems achievable with AI, which could also suggest appropriate folder names.
42) The physics engine in Android 16’s Material 3 Expressive framework offers significant benefits, delivering spring-based animations that make UI interactions like swiping notifications or navigating menus feel dynamic and intuitive. Synced haptic feedback provides tactile satisfaction, enhancing user engagement during routine tasks. The engine ensures visual consistency across apps, foldables, and wearables, aligning with Samsung’s polished design ethos. It also improves accessibility with intuitive visual and haptic cues, making navigation easier for all users. Implementing this feature will give One UI 8.5 a competitive edge, rivaling iOS’s fluid animations and elevating Samsung’s user experience. I recommend Samsung developers integrate this engine to create a modern, cohesive, and engaging interface.
43) Add blur effect to Gallery to all the elements/UI/UX inside app. When image opened blur effect can make it easier to see bottom toolbar and options at top.
44) To be continue...
