If my phone is off or on the AOD and I double click to open the camera, if I hold the second click down, why can't I start recording automatically? Still the same two clicks but without losing time trying to find the shutter button once the camera app is fully open. I just want to record my son catching a fly ball in the outfield without having to have camera open and recording the whole game wasting battery.
Once we double click the side key, it becomes useless. Maybe there's some reason we don't want it to have the ability to become a shutter button once the app is open but two clicks to open the camera and a third click might actually take a picture.
I know some people use the side key on their phones for other things so I can't speak to those but we have capable and smart phones. They should be smart enough to do more than one function. For instance if it is designated to open an app, it should be able to function in that app.
