More specifically for non carrier models. I use to have rcs with all my fam, but when I got the unlocked fold 3, none of our chat features work natively.

I'm using Google Messages on an unlocked device with RCS, no issues at all.
I haven't been successful in setting up RCS within Samsung Messages. I'm on AT&T. I believe Samsung Messages is still reliant on the carrier which could also be preventing Google zmessage and Samsung Messages from communicating with each other via RCS.
