I was in the midst of a conversation today and wanted to search for a photo to the person I was chatting with. I opened the gallery app then pressed the "search" icon. I didn't realize that there was a search bar all the way at the bottom of my screen so I mistakenly thought that I had to press the "search" header on the top of the page to enable the keyboard. It took a minute for me to realize that I was tapping the wrong area. I think it would be quicker and easier if the keyboard automatically pops up when the search icon is first pressed. Not only would it remove one extra unnecessary tap, but it would also hopefully make it less confusing for someone who was multitasking like myself. Also, I really do like the blue and purple gradient text in the search bar I must admit.
