I turned the screen off by pushing the power button as I was playing a game.
I turned on the screen after about half an hour, the game opened up immediately but there was no way to return to the home screen since swipe up was not working.
I tried to pull up from the bottom or the sides but the swipe up bar was not visible.
I had to push the power button again and turn on the screen. This second time I was able to swipe up and exit the game.
