Re: Screen overheating and melting corner of TV - 6300 series LED

I have the exact same problem. I have had the tv now for about 2 years. I believe we got it at BestBuy but not sure, and I definitely don't have the receipt. What can be done?

This just happened to us as well. The bottom right hand corner of the screen and frame are melted. The TV is less than 4 years old. We are in an area affected by Hurricane Florence and would like to be able to see and not just hear the Weather Channel!

All of the above just happened to my TV.  I do not understand how this post is 2 years old and no solutions or explanations are posted!?

The same thing happened to us last night, my husband turned the tv on, it had been on less than an hour.  The screen went blank but there was still audio.   He turned it off and back on -- the audio quit and there was a small circle in the bottom right corner plus the frame in the bottom right corner melted.  I turned it off and unplugged it.  I am an "everything Samsung Customer" - phones, tablets, smartwatches, headsets and have never had an issue, can you please help.

I just had the same thing happen to my TV. Downloaded the HBO Now App, and tried to open it. Upon opening the app I got a ton of vertical lines, and a little circle in the bottom right hand corner of the screen. Being dumb i went u and touched it, and burn the heck out of my thumb. The rest of the screen is cool to the touch.

Re: Screen overheating and melting corner of TV - 6300 series LED

I too had the melting corner on my tv (UN50J6200AFXZA). The tv was less than two years and out of warranty. After seeing this thread, I entered my claim online. I was told that I would get a call back within 5 business days. After 6 days someone called and asked if I was injured (I wasn't) and that I was approved for an exchange. The order for a replacement tv (UN50NU6900FXZA) was approved and would be shipped to me. The replacement TV was similar in features to the bad tv except this one was 4k.  They told me I'd be contacted by the shipping company in 7-10 business days to arrange the time to do the swapSo far so good. Now, though it's been 17 business days. I've called support several times. The only thing they appear to be able to do is say that they would reach out to the exchange dept or a supervisor and they would call me back - but they never do. They are not able to give a date when the tv shipped or a tracking number. I suspect the tv has not yet shipped. After searching around, it appears this is a common scenario with exchanges. If anyone else has successfully received an exchange, let us know how long it took. Is everyone else having similar experiences?

@userymzOwOZTsI:  Would you happen to have a transaction number that we could look into?
