If you exit the smart hub and try again in tv mode you should be able to do the update.
However when I tried this, it said I was up to date already.
I tried the “alternative software “ and it just rolls it back to an earlier version. A version that worked I might add.
As as soon as I did this I was able to use the Samsung apps and update the itv player.
