Amazon Tablets app no longer supported

Amazon shopping app no longer works on Samsung tablet.  Have to use Amazon website instead.  I guess everybody is getting this error message?  I tried to re-install the app but that didn't fix it.  Is Amazon trying to lose customers?

Do not worry the Amazon app is not going anywhere make sure you update whenever available this is just an error in the app.

Both my OS and the app are up to date. Uninstalled and reinstalled the app to no avail. Amazon customer support was of no help.

Not working on my Tab S5e. Restarted and cleared cache. Still down.

Same here, got error message stating Amazon app for Tablets is no longer supported, then I got redirected to my browser.

I'll try the phone app instead, but if it has no Landscape view I'll say bye to Bezos and switch to NewEgg.
