TabletsHow long have you had the update? When a device updates, it doesn't just update and it's done. It performs the major task to keep your downtime minimal, then it proceeds in the background putting everything in place and looking for updates and patches, as well as all your apps updating. All the while, you are using your phone normally (perhaps slightly more while you check your settings and new features and rearrange things.) Also, since it's, in essence, a completely new device, it has to relearn your usage patterns, so it can take 7-14 days to equalize. As for the heat, that too is a result of all the activity. If it was truly overheating, it would protect itself by shutting things off or shutting down. It probably feels hotter than normal because of all the activity. You may not realize that your device goes through periods of heating up and cooling down without your noticing it, depending on what is going on. If Good Guardians is available for the tablet, you should download it from the Galaxy store and then also the Thermal Guardian module. This module will tell you whether your device has truly been overheating or just has higher than normal CPU usage. In the meantime, if your device feels too hot for you, you can stop what you are doing and let it rest. If any of this (battery drain, heat) has been going on longer than two weeks, then put in an error report. Otherwise, just wait it out.

TabletsGo to settings, security and privacy, updates, Google Play System, check for update.
If there is an update install it. Then check for software update.
